To perform a timing simulation:

1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

2. Specify Simulator settings.

3. Use the Waveform Editor to create a Vector Waveform File (.vwf) that contains the vector inputs for simulation and the names of the outputs to be simulated. More Details

4. If you wish, perform one or more of the following optional procedures:

• To extract the simulation netlist from the design for use prior to simulation, choose Initialize Simulation (Processing menu).  Shortcut

• Modify the initial content of a memory block (RAM, ROM, or CAM)

• Create one or more breakpoints

5. To run the simulation, choose Run Simulation (Processing menu).  Shortcut  More Details

6. View the simulation results in the Simulation Report.
