To start the Simulator:

1. If you have not already done so, create a new project or open an existing project.

2. Use the Waveform Editor to create a Vector Waveform File (.vwf) that contains the vector inputs for simulation and the names of the outputs to be simulated. More Details

3. Specify Simulator settings.

4. If you wish, perform one or more of the following optional procedures:

• To extract the simulation netlist from the design for use prior to simulation, choose Initialize Simulation (Processing menu).  Shortcut

• Modify the initial content of a memory block (RAM, ROM, or CAM)

• Create one or more breakpoints

• To run the simulation for a specific time, enter a time interval and time unit in the Simulation end time list on the Standard Simulate Mode toolbar.  Read This First

5. To run the simulation, choose Run Simulation (Processing menu).  Shortcut  More Details

To stop the Simulator:

Choose Stop Processing (Processing menu).  Shortcut
