Overview: Using Breakpoints



Breakpoints are advanced simulation controls that consist of a breakpoint equation and a breakpoint action. When the conditions specified in the Break if this equation is true box are met during simulation, the Simulator pauses and performs the action specified in the Then do this list. When the Simulator evaluates a breakpoint, it tests each condition by comparing the specified node value, group value, or time variable with the operator.

In addition, when the Simulator pauses at a breakpoint, you can perform one or more of the following actions:

After reaching a breakpoint, you can choose Run (Processing menu) at any time to resume the simulation. Alternatively, you can choose Stop (Processing menu), then Run (Processing menu), to run the simulation from the beginning.
