Finding & Replacing Text in the Block Editor



To find and replace text in a Block Design File (.bdf) or a Graphic Design File (.gdf):

  1. Open an existing BDF or GDF or create a new BDF.

  2. Choose Replace (Edit menu).  Shortcut

  3. Type the search text in the Find what box, including optional wildcard and/or special characters.

  4. If necessary, turn on one or more of the following options:

  5. To specify the location of the search, turn on one or more of the following options under Find in:

  6. In the Search list, select a search direction.

  7. To replace the selected instance of the search text, click Replace.

  8. To replace each instance of the search text, click Replace All.

  9. To leave the selected text unchanged and find the next instance of the search text, click Find Next.

  10. If necessary, click Find Next again to find the next instance of the search text.

  11. To end the search, click Cancel.
