Graphic Design File (.gdf)

A schematic design file (with the extension .gdf) created with the MAX+PLUS® II Graphic Editor. You can read and edit GDFs with the Quartus® II Block and Symbol Editors; however, the Quartus II software saves them as Block Design Files (.bdf).

If the GDFs contain MAX+PLUS® DOS symbols, the Quartus II software can still read the symbols, although you must first update the DOS symbol with the Update Symbol or Block command (Edit menu).
