Changing General Memory Editor Options



To change general Memory Editor Options:

  1. Choose Options (Tools menu).

  2. In the Category list, select Memory Editor General.

  3. To specify a default file size for new Memory Initialization Files (.mif) or Hexadecimal (Intel-Format) Files (.hex):

    1. In the Number of words box, under Default file size, type the default number of memory words.

    2. In the Word size box, type the default size of the memory words.

  4. To specify that the Simulator should update the current memory at breakpoints, turn on Automatically update current memory with simulation data at breakpoints.

  5. If you turned on Automatically update current memory with simulation data at breakpoints and want the Simulator to prompt you before making the updates, turn on Confirm before refreshing memory contents.

  6. To specify that the Quartus® II software should read or write HEX Files in Intel format using byte addressing, turn on Read or write Hexadecimal Files (.hex) using byte addressing (Intel format).
