When you insert cells, either with the Insert Cells or the Paste Insert command (Edit menu), all cells after the destination point move to the right. The number of memory words in the Memory Initialization File (.mif) or Hexadecimal (Intel-Format) File (.hex) remains the same, and any extra cells that would have been appended to the end of the Memory Editor grid are removed.
