MAX 3000A

An Altera® device family based on the second generation of Multiple Array MatriX architecture. MAX® 3000A devices are enhanced versions of MAX 7000 devices, optimized for high-volume, low-cost applications. These EEPROM-based devices include the EPM3032A, EPM3064A, EPM3128A, EPM3256A, and EPM3512A devices.

MAX 3000A devices are 3.3V devices, and offer up to six pin- or logic-driven output enable signals and multiple global clocks with optional inversion. MAX 3000A devices also offer the additional capability of in-system programming (ISP) via JTAG BST circuitry.

You can use device migration to transfer a design between MAX 3000 devices with equivalent pin-outs, while maintaining the same board layout and pin assignments.

In Quartus® II Help, any reference only to the MAX 3000 family can be interpreted as a reference to the MAX 3000A family.
