Compiler

Overview: Using the Compiler Settings Wizard

NOTE

You can also change the settings entered with the wizard, as well as enter additional Compiler settings, by specifying Compiler settings in the pages under the Compiler Settings page of the Settings dialog box (Assignments menu).

The Compiler Settings wizard (Assignments menu) helps you specify and save new Compiler settings, or edit existing Compiler settings.

With the Compiler Settings wizard, you can specify the name of the design entity you want to compile, the type of compilation you want to perform, and how much information to save for future recompilations. You can also specify the device family and whether to use a specific device or automatic device selection.

After you click Finish, the Compiler settings you specified are saved with the name you specify. You can use and reuse these settings to compile any design in a project.
